Sinopsis. / Synopsis.

Lucas quiere ser un héroe, salvar toda a una nación y encajar. Lo que no entiende es cómo ha llegado a ser detenido por la policía si él no ha hecho nada malo. Solo seguía instrucciones para ser un héroe.

Lucas wants to be a hero, to save an entire nation and to fit in. What he doesn’t understand is how he ended up being arrested by the police when he hasn’t done anything wrong. He was only following instructions to become a hero.

Lucas es el resultado de un proceso para la asignatura de dramaturgia del máster en artes escénicas. Consistía en tomar una noticia del periódico y crear una fábula. En las páginas del periódico encontré la historia de un hombre que dispara en la estación de tren al hombre equivocado. Lucas es el antihéroe. Un perdedor que trata de cometer un acto violento para encajar y ser amado.

Lucas is the result of a process for the dramaturgy course in the Master's in Performing Arts. The assignment was to take a newspaper article and create a fable. In the pages of the newspaper, I found the story of a man who shoots the wrong person at a train station. Lucas is the antihero—a loser who tries to commit a violent act in order to fit in and be loved.

Biografía. / Biography.

Noelia es graduada en Filosofía y en el Máster en Teatro y Artes Escénicas por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. MA Collaborative Theatre Making en Rose Bruford College, Londres. Egresada en Interpretación Textual por la RESAD. Realiza el III Taller de dramaturgia Joven, por la Joven Compañía, donde aprende de maestros como Sanchís Sinisterra, Eva Redondo, Lola Blasco, Borja Ortiz de Gondra, entre otrxs. Continúa su formación como dramaturga en talleres con Tim Crouch, Alberto Conejero y José Padilla. Durante este recorrido siempre le ha acompañado la escritura y dramaturgia, y continúa experimentando dirigiendo sus propios textos.

Noelia holds a degree in Philosophy and a Master's in Theatre and Performing Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. She also completed an MA in Collaborative Theatre Making at Rose Bruford College in London and graduated in Textual Interpretation from RESAD. She participated in the III Young Playwriting Workshop by La Joven Compañía, where she learned from masters such as Sanchís Sinisterra, Eva Redondo, Lola Blasco, and Borja Ortiz de Gondra, among others. She continued her playwriting training through workshops with Tim Crouch, Alberto Conejero, and José Padilla. Throughout this journey, writing and dramaturgy have always accompanied her, and she continues to experiment by directing her own texts.

Escritura. / Style.

«Escribo para recordar cosas que aun no he vivido. Cuando algo me genera muchas preguntas trato de dar forma a cada respuesta posible, trato de tener caleidoscopios de lo que no entiendo. En cada texto trato de buscar incógnitas detrás de cada respuesta. Trato de explorar diferentes contenidos y trabajar con diferentes formas. La poesía, las palabras, son formas consistentes para lo que aun no sé nombrar. Me gusta crear nuevos dispositivos dramatúrgicos para cada una de estas ideas sin resolver.» (Noelia Pérez).

«I write to remember things I have not yet lived. When something raises many questions for me, I try to shape every possible answer—I try to create kaleidoscopes of what I do not understand. In each text, I seek unknowns behind every answer. I strive to explore different contents and work with different forms. Poetry, words—they are solid forms for what I do not yet know how to name. I enjoy creating new dramaturgical devices for each of these unresolved ideas.» (Noelia Pérez).
