Sinopsis.
Si estamos donde estamos es por culpa de los que no han querido asumir sus responsabilidades. Pero se acabó el tiempo de culpar a los demás. Ahora es el momento de decidir si queremos ser como los hijos de puta que nos han jodido o si queremos romper la cadena. Ahora es el momento de entender cuál es la responsabilidad que nos ha tocado en esta vida que nos han regalado y asumirla hasta el final. Ahora es el momento de perdonar. El mundo no ha hecho nada por mí. De acuerdo. Pero ¿qué he hecho yo por el mundo? La niebla de ahí fuera no acabará conmigo, ni con él, ni contigo si nos protegemos como sabemos.
If we’re where we are, it’s because of those who refused to take responsibility. But the time for blaming others is over. Now is the moment to decide whether we want to become like the bastards who screwed us over, or whether we want to break the chain. Now is the time to understand the responsibility that has been handed to us in this life we’ve been given, and to carry it through to the end. Now is the time to forgive. The world has done nothing for me. Fine. But what have I done for the world? The fog out there won’t destroy me, or him, or you—if we protect ourselves the way we know how.

"¿Y qué es 'Yo Nunca'? Actores y director coinciden en que se trata de una tragedia clásica que habla de las dificultades del paso a la edad adulta. Está ambientada en un hoy indeterminado, pero reiteran "es un historia clásica, no hay pretensión de algo de aquí y ahora". Los jóvenes que protagonizan la obra viven situaciones límite y la frase "yo nunca…" es un juego para descubrir intimidades de tus amigos… "yo nunca podré salir de la violencia…", "yo nunca… encontraré el amor de verdad"… y los que sí pueden, por ejemplo, beben de una bebida que comparte entre los amigos. "Es un juego -detallan- que sirve para mostrar las luchas personales de cada uno de los personajes". Biografía. / Biography.
«La mayor parte de lo que sé lo aprendí haciendo fotocopias, grapando y vendiendo mis tebeos cara a cara, cuando era un crío. Con 8 años debuté como actor con la intención de comprarme una cámara de video con el sueldo; desde entonces actuar me ha llevado a una carrera de más de 25 años en series de TV, obras teatrales y películas. Paralelamente, iba vendiendo algunos guiones de cine y dirigiendo mis cortometrajes. Seguía trabajando como actor en teatro, pero escribir para la escena me daba demasiado respeto. Un pudor que no vencí hasta que no formé mi propia compañía teatral, Prisamata, con la que estrené "Sé de un lugar", obra con más de 5 años de recorrido en Cataluña, España y el extranjero. Esta obra nos dio mucho trabajo, algunos premios, y un poquito de dinero, lo suficiente como para tirar adelante otros proyectos teatrales, "Els Desgraciats" y "Jo Mai". También he tenido la suerte de recibir encargos, que me he tomado como oportunidades de aprender bajo reglas ajenas. Así escribí "Cleòpatra", adapté "Wasted" de Kate Tempest, y he hecho piezas de creación colectiva con estudiantes como "El despertar" y "Sueño de una noche de verano, versión de Deisy Portaluppi".» (Iván Morales).
«Most of what I know I learned by making photocopies, stapling, and selling my comics face to face when I was a kid. At eight, I debuted as an actor with the goal of buying a video camera with my earnings; since then, acting has taken me through a career of more than 25 years in TV series, theater plays, and films. Meanwhile, I sold some film scripts and directed my own short films. I kept working as a theater actor, but writing for the stage intimidated me. A shyness I didn’t overcome until I formed my own theater company, Prisamata, with which I premiered Sé de un lugar, a play that toured for more than five years in Catalonia, Spain, and abroad. This work gave us a lot of experience, some awards, and a little money—just enough to support other theater projects, Els Desgraciats and Jo Mai. I’ve also had the luck of receiving commissions, which I’ve approached as opportunities to learn under someone else’s rules. That’s how I wrote Cleòpatra, adapted Kate Tempest’s Wasted, and created collective pieces with students, like El despertar and Sueño de una noche de verano, Deisy Portaluppi’s version.» (Iván Morales).
Escritura. / Style.
«No seré muy original en este apartado, definir lo que escribo me cuesta mucho y me interesa poco. Solo sé que me gustaría hacer un teatro tan interesante como las conversaciones que escucho en el bar de abajo de mi casa, con personajes tan potentes como las personas con las que me cruzo cada día, tan libre como coger un avión para ir a un país del que no conoces nada en absoluto, y con capacidad de emocionar tanto como la gente que más amo. Creo que la escritura dramática debe de ser una excusa para que pasen cosas poderosas en escena, todo lo demás es vanidad, y de eso voy suficientemente sobrado como para darle más cancha.» (Iván Morales).
«I’m not going to be very interesting here, as I find it very difficult and also quite boring to define how I write. The only thing I know is that I want to make plays that are as interesting as the conversations that I hear from the bar underneath my flat, with characters who are as powerful as the people that I come across on a daily basis, as free as taking a flight to a country that you know absolutely nothing about, with an ability to excite that is comparable with that held by the people that I love the most. I think that dramatic writing should be an excuse for powerful things to take place on the stage; everything else is vanity, and I’ve already got enough of that.» (Iván Morales).
